I must post my admiration for a local gay guy
He is the head chef at a resort near here. A highly ranked chef too. But this town is so homophobic it's not even funny. But he doesn't care, he walked in to the bar last night without a care in the world. And had no problem being himself...of course myself and a couple girls are the only ones that will talk to him.... but fuck the rest, buddy loves buying drinks!

As well, he is a scotch master and a brilliant wine expert.

4. I think he is very smart too. That is the way to win biggots over...

Rather than being defensive and fixating on what they are likely thinking... The homophobes will eventually realize that the guy is "cool," not a "threat to them," and that by acting obnoxious, they are in risk of alienating the more moderate in the community, who are earliest to embrace the guy. I mean, think back to Paul Lynde-- who everyone thought was hilarious, even though he was himself and "gay before gay was accepted on tv." That was such a long time ago, but I remember "macho" (and likely biggoted) guys among my parent's "friends" and associates who would go on and on about how funny he was.
Good for the chef and good for you for taking the opportunity afforded by these town idiots to be among the first to get to know him!
