The new Flaming Lips movie, anyone see it yet? I caught an exclusive screening on Friday the 13th in Oklahoma City (where the majority of the movie was filmed). It couldn't have possibly been better! They're touring it around in a circus tent to the various different rock festivals they're playing in this summer. It'll be coming out on DVD sometime around Christmas, but I can't urge folks enough to see it in the tent if you get the chance. The sound system in there is utterly incredible. The crippling sound coupled with the psychedelic images along with the crowd was absolutely phenomenal! I can't really tell you much about it, it simply must be experienced. It won't be the same on DVD. Please see it if you get the chance.

Gawd, it's too good for words though. Totally worth the wait! Please, please try to catch it. Funny, ironic, beautiful, loud and the last third or so is a pure audio/video orgasm. I was transfixed. As far as I know, it's only show publicly about, uhm, 7 times, but it's making the rounds. Hopefully you'll get the opportunity.
