1. Aw, fuck.
That's his masterpiece. Ridley better not fuck it up.

2. I know...of all the novels Ridley could fuck up, why Blood Meridian?
Why?

8. Probably didn't read it, based on Blade Runner
Of course, neither have I, but I just wanted to get in a cheap shot at Ridley.

3. Hmm, did it make it out of script development Purgatory?
IMDB still shows no cast, not even a speculative one, which is usually a good sign that things are still at the "maybe" stage. Any news stuff about it? I was wondering if the success of "No Country for Old Men" would get it moving forward.

I personally hope that a movie version of Blood Meridian stays on ice until they can figure out a way to resurrect Sam Peckinpah.

Jim Jarmusch can do "Outer Dark." Other than those two, Hollywood should stay away from McCarthy.

4. Jarmusch only does movies he writes himself, though.
So we better figure out how to reanimate old Sam. ;-)

6. noooooooooo
Blood Meridian is my most favoritest McCarthy book! I want Guillermo Del Toro to do it, or Philip Ridley.

9. I first heard about this around a year ago
If he directs Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian rather than Ridley Scott's Please Love Me and Tell Me I'm Not a Hack, it might be okay.

This is one of my all time favorite books. If Scott fucks it up, I'm going to sic Caballo en Pelo on him.
