I don't know...there's "Frookie" brand cookies though. Made with fruit sugar.
Cakes I'm thinking no. Ice cream I think I remember seeing and I know who to ask.

2. Try coconut milk ice cream. |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-17-08 06:02 PM by GOPisEvil
It's sweetened with agave nectar which has a lower glycemic index than regular sugar. Whole Paycheck carries Purely Decadent brand.
Edit - it's actually very creamy and tasty. It satisfies my ice cream jones.

4. Blue Bunny makes some diabetic friendly ice cream |
|
My mother's a diabetic, and she gets their Sweet Freedom ice cream cones. They have sugar free ice cream too.

6. you gotta watch carbs as well as sugar |
|
For me, it's the carbs that are dangerous. But I can eat about 1/4 cup of Haagen Daas coffee ice cream very occasionally without a lot of trouble if I've watched the rest of the day's food intake. And I take one-bite tastes of various sweet things without trouble.
Dr. Sinatra, the diabetes expert, says to watch out for sweeteners that end in "ose" -- he says those will affect blood sugar. He talks about certain sugar-free Jell-O puddings that are okay, with no "ose" ingredients.
