It's one of the most painful things I've ever had to usher my son through. He's destroyed over it.

His grandfather came and got him, and they're doing some "guy things" together. My family has been wonderfully supportive through Wilson's illness.

He's not taking it well. This was the dog that he took care of, fed, groomed, slept with.

It's going to be a rough adjustment. He's been through a lot the past month. He told me today, "2008 sucks."

I'm letting him get it all out. He's cried like a little child...I've encouraged him to do so. This death touched him more than any "people deaths" he's been through. :(

Our vet cried with us today. We are so fortunate to have the vet staff that we have. We'll get through it.

If there's any consolation, it's that I still have snugglebunnies here. :)

The poults are in the cage on the back porch now...getting them acclimated to being outside. Next, it's to the big pen until I can figure out the next step...we have a big pen outside that wasn't wrecked by Katrina...it's about 20' x 12' x 10'. After that, I've no idea what to do with them...lol.
