Meet Ernie Dude!

I was walking to my back door this evening, and I heard a sound kind of like a rusty hinge. I turned around and there was this cat, who had this weird, creaky meow, like "Yaaaaaaa!" He was wearing a red collar and a name tag, and his name turns out to be Ernie Dude. He's absurdly friendly, and he keeps going "Yaaaaaa!" I guess he always meows that way. He lives a few houses away, on the other side of the alley, and apparently he has claimed my back yard as his territory. I think he is the garden pest who ate all the catnip I planted.

Meet Ernie Dude. He's a hoot.

that makes me laugh! He looks like a goofy charmer (perhaps it is a result of the catnip!).

He's a sharp-looking cat. I also like his black stripe down the back.
