Euro 2008: Group D
aka Group Does Anyone Not Swedish or Russian Care?

Who do we like today? I'm pulling for Sweden because Ibrahimovic is a total badass mofo, and I don't care what anyone in the Premiership says, I like Henrick Larsson.

1. No one at all? But there are so many burning issues to resolve!
Edited on Wed Jun-18-08 02:33 PM by MrCoffee
Will Greece score a single goal this tournament? On edit, it looks like they already did. Way to go Greece! :woohoo:

Who will advance to lose against Holland?

How does UEFA MatchCentre know how far each player travels per game? They've got it down to hundredths of a kilometer, for cryin' out loud! Although that heat map is pretty cool, to see where the player spends their time.

2. So, my husband is British..
and all the hipsters in his office in Philly are always asking him questions about the soccer championship, whichever one is going on now, and finally he has to tell them that he's not into sports at all. They think he must be into soccer just because he's English.

9. I'm not!!
I just thought it sporting to root for the defenders to not be UTTERLY and COMPLETELY HUMILIATED. Now they're just UTTERLY HUMILIATED. Their humiliation is not complete, as they managed to score one. Good show, Greece!

I've only seen the clip once... it was right after the match ended... he just hung his head and started bawling like a toddler.

It is GLORIOUS.

10. that game doesn't even matter
or does it? Spain is going through and Greece is eliminated no matter what. Russia v. Sweden is the one and it's been pretty good.

One of those U-17s better step up and score.

21. I hope Spain beats the crap out of Italy
Stupid French couldn't do it, someone's got to. Although it would be EXCELLENT to see Holland kick the hell out of them again.

26. hahaha
yea it seems Italy is that team you love to hate but they are like Brazilians in the sense they can start off horrible and end up winning the whole thing. That penalty shot that Gigi blocked against Romania was was enormous.

Anything can happen! there is no logic in it.

28. Scores:
Chairistas (GRE) 42'

de la Red (ESP) 61'

It's equal now in the 73rd minute.

scored, not sure who...

I hear ya about Holland, to be honest, I don't feel passion for any of these teams. I think I enjoy seeing them lose more than seeing them win.

Russia's been really missing Arshavin in their last two games. Today pretty much proves that.
