WhooHoo! It's Cheese-of-the-Month day again! |
|
I love Cheese-of-the-Month day, Itellyawhut.
This month's cheeses look like an especially fine selection: Extra-aged Appenzeller Tilsit Tomme de Savoie
I've had Appenzeller, but never the Extra-aged variety, and Tomme de Savoie is a new one on me completely. We'll have to sample those before deciding what to do with them.
That Danish Tilsit is destined to be melted into a pot of some gourmet-class macaroni-n-cheese. :9

3. I think there are several "Cheese of the Month" clubs... |
|
Ours is www.cheesemonthclub.com
Sweetie's sister got it for us for Xmas last year, and we've been very happy with it. Every month, 3 different cheeses arrive on the doorstep, and so far every one of them has been really first-rate.
They tend to be high-end cheeses, some from very small producers around the world. Stuff with names I've never heard before, sometimes.
But even the month they sent one simply labeled "cheddar", it was the best cheddar we'd ever had.
I don't think it's cheap, but if you have the $$$ and love cheese, I recommend it highly! :9
