I'm going to WASHINGTON. DC! |
|
I've been selelcted by the American Diabetes Association as a delegate to their Call to Congress!
RBNYC kinda stole my thunder, though, but heck, since it's her...
Thanks to those who helped me get the pesky e-mail open, too.

It's a great thing, and don't worry, maybe next time you'll be pregnant!

7. Been there, done that. I'm ECSTATIC for Rene--I remember |
|
her troubles from before. I don't mind her being in the spotlight, she well deserves it!

2. Congratulations! Are they paying for your lodging? |
|
If not, and if you like cats, you are welcome to stay at the Venation B&B. Not kidding. PM me.
Great news!

8. Wow--it costs a BUNDLE! Capitol Hill Hyatt-- |
|
I think logistically it will be worth it to stay there, but I'll definitely keep you and the cats in mind! My kid would just love them, I'm sure.
The nice thing is that they have set up day care already, so it makes sense to be in that area. I really want my son to go; he's already shown an interest in politics--I swear, I'm not kidding. He was given a flyer for a state capitol advocacy march and has begged me to let us go; since it's for the NEA and AEA, of course I'm there!
I may pick your brain on logistics, if you don't mind. I definitely DON'T want to rent a car; is it difficult to get from BWI to the Capitol area by Metro Rail?
Hope to get to see you and kpharmer, though.

6. May 5-7--not much knocking around time, but |
|
I'd rather meet up with some DUers than see JC Superstar.

9. Well maybe we can get a bunch of folks |
|
and meet somewhere. Do you know if you'll be downtown or in the 'burbs? My 5 year old son (almost 6) would give your 7 year old someone to socialize with...

10. Used to visit DuPont Circle a lot. Have 140 beers for me. |
|
Not sure what the Brickskeller is up to in numbers of beers now, but have one of each, and let me know. I love the DC area; tried for two years to find a job there (lived there for one), but it just didn't work out. Bummer.
