Wow, we just had a major collapse! Ack!
I don't know what happened, but Sniffa pulled a pan off of the shelves in our entryway, and the thing just fell flat on its face forward! :o

The shelves hold: several mixing bowls, baking pans, pyrex pieces, food processor, immersion blender, strainer, electric skillet, measuring cups, huge spice rack...

And, nothing was broken, including the shelves! :o Thank jeebus for padded carpeting.

Sniffa wasn't sure if the kitteh was in the vicinity when it happened or not...He took off anyway. I finally lured him out from under the couch. Poor kitteh is traumatized. :(

1. Yikes!
Maybe you could anchor it to the wall to avoid future collapses!

Glad kitteh is okay.

2. That's not a bad idea at all...
Maybe I'll hit up Home Despot this weekend for some hardware.

Me too! He's back under the couch for now. Poor lil guy.

4. I've got a shelf/drawer thing in my kitchen, with my prized pasta
bowl set displayed on the top. When I put it all together, I made sure I anchored it to the wall.

7. lucky PB is fine and that's pretty amazing none of your stuff broke.
maybe you need a storage cart instead of the shelves for the heavy stuff? Do you have room in your kitchen a portable storage island?
