How long does it take you to type and post a reply ?

Me?

It can take me 10-20 minutes to type something,re-read it,

decides it's crap,type something else then realize that the

earlier version was better and then check the spelling (With the DU Spellchecker)

and often I have to Google some words or expressions to be sure.

(I'm French-Canadian so...)

Usually, I have no problem composing a post..

Sometimes I do, though, esp. when it's a response to someone else's thread!

Even if I spot a new thread that has ZERO responses when I see it, by the time I've finished writing mine, there are normally anywhere from 3 to 6 posts ahead of me!

Oh well...I've never been fast at anything...

2. The typing itself only takes a few seconds.

I type pretty gorram fast.

However I'll often remember to hit spellcheck afterwards and end up editing it. :P

Yeah,spellcheck is a big plus on DU but it's not perfect:

OK,my English is not so bad but it's far from perfect so

I use the spellchecker but it can be tricky.

Let's say that I want to say something like:

"LOL,I wish that Obama wins"

Well,LOL is not in the spellchecker's data-bank.

It suggest me to replace it with LIL

And "spellchecker" is unknown.


Another example:

If I say "I wish that...whatever"

Well if I type "witch that..." than the

spellthingymagig is really not helping at all. :)

5. it depends on the forum, may take some time to get a post just right but when you post it...

the threads been locked so whether 3-4 secs, or 10-20min either way its a waste of time :(:)
