While planning an elaborate reception for Nicolas Sarkozy, First Lady Laura Bush stubbornly fought to keep the details from her socially inept husband, fearful that he might create a diplomatic blunder in front of the visiting President of France.

When he learned of this, Bush was furious. He was particularly angry to have been excluded from the planning of the gala ball to be held in honor of Sarkozy's arrival.

"George," scolded the First Lady. "Don't be silly. You don't even know what a cotillion is."

"Sure I do," fumed the Executive. "It's a thousand Brazilians."
