Dispatch from the straight marriage file: My marriage to Mrs. Aristus still unaffected
by gay marriage in California.

Still waiting for our bond to unravel...

Still waiting...

Nothing's happened so far...

And everyone was convinced that the institution would be ruined...

B-)

1. Nope, nothing happened here either.
We just celebrated our 25th last month.

I guess the sky isn't going to fall after all!

3. Care to guess how long it will be before some recently divorced right-winger sues the state
of California, blaming the state for "ruining his marriage by allowing gays to wed"?

6. The only logical conclusion is one of you had a sex change at some point.
And the result is that your marriage is immune to the anti-straight-marriage rays from the same-gender marriages.

:D

7. I know, Mr. mctatas was amazed that our marriage license
and wedding album did not immediately burst into flames! And I don't think anyone's tried to marry a dog yet (sorry Rick Santorum)

21. Does it count if someone's ex-husbands were... DOGS?
Not literally, but just in the vernacular.

22. I think that would be a no...
because they were probably not dogs when first married (or they kept their doggishness well hidden), therefor, any morphing after said nuptials occurred are not covered on the Santorum Insane Douchebaggery Act of 2005;)

23. You're right about that...
I should have just let them dry-hump my leg -- that would have been sufficient. But I married them instead...

My bad.

I was told last week that god was showing his wrath by flooding the Midwest and setting CA on fire. He hasn't had time to get around to destroying marriages yet.

So far, so good.

We'll celebrate fifteen years of wedded bliss in September.

I guess I'm curious to know about this whole "sanctity of marriage" thing when it's possible for a heterosexual to go to Vegas and marry another heterosexual for 55 hours.

17. I got an email from my parents today that was just blank
I could assume that it's because they're old and sometimes really fail at things like email (they're not dumb, but email isn't something they use everyday either), but I'm pretty sure that it was their subtle way, by sending the blank message from their joint email account, to let me know that their marriage of 42 years had now been rendered completely void of meaning.

he's so straight he makes an arrow look curved!!!

No problems with those other folks who went to Canada or California to marry. Massachusetts? Oregon? I guess all of those marriages are null and void. What a pity!

Live and let live. Love is where you find it!

Cordially,

Radio Lady in Oregon

Our 25th anniversary is in August. I hope those married gays don't fuck it up for us.

I can see it now -- an hour before our anniversary, and BAM! marriage goes out of style!
