Now I am really really depressed.......

Son of a fucking bitch.

Looks like I won't be going to High Sierra after all. They have changed to rules for volunteering and now I am totally fucked. More hours, a mandatory meeting earlier that I can get there (4 hour drive) and payment of the deposit (used to be able to do it with a CC, but now it is cash!) if I had the fucking cash I would just go to the festival!

I have done this for four years and now they change it all up. I have gone to this festival 16 of the 18 years it has happened.

No chance I can get the buckage together to go now. I just got this info and the show is 10 days away....

It was truly the one thing I was looking forward to in my life. A chance to get awy from my miserable existence and my parents and get some hugs and love in my life. All of my friends are from this festival and I never get to see most of them.

Some of my favorite bands of all time have played this festival and I get to hang with them and see them in an intimate environment.

I really don't know how much more depressed I can get right now.

4. We'll see, but right now.....

I could not possibly tell someone that I could pay them back. Just ain't gonna happen. And even if I did it for the volunteer thing, not sure it would be worth it. 16 hours for a ticket i could buy for 150. used to be 12 hours. a nd the meeting was at 4 instead of 1.

Since you have done it before & went back as a volunteer time & again, maybe you have some cred built up.

But they have a new staff person running that part of the parking volunteer area and the person that I used to work with is no longer there.....So she has no idea about me......

9. Now there is talk of cancelling the festival due to the fires.....

many fires burning up in the Plumas County region. Highwy 70 (the main route from the Sacramento valley) is closed.

Man oh man, tough call for the fest promoters. Do they put ont he fest and strain the resources of the county and endanger the health and safety of the fest gers or do they call it off and take what would have to be a huge financial hit?

But it is looking less and less likey i will be attending. I will keep trying but it is just stressing me out and will until the time comes that I cannot possibly go. Then it will be the hugest bummer in my lifetime (this week anyway).
