If you copy the "direct link" you won't get that little box next to the picture. Not that there's anything wrong with the box, just that it took me a while to figure that out, and I hate wasting information. :) (Gratuitous Emily Proctor picture included to make a point about the box, not the other thing).

7. It's the one that says "direct link"

Unless your photobucket page is different for some reason. Mine has four boxes beneath each pic. The first says Email & IM, the second says "direct link." You just click in that box, it says "copied," and you paste it into your post.

I'm using Explorer 7, I don't know if that matters. :shrug:

It only has three links, and none of those say direct link!

I don't think I'm using Explorer 7...

I wonder if that's making the difference?

11. Odd.

I just opened PhB in Firefox, and I still get all four lines. And I didn't upgrade Firefox yet.

I don't know if it could be your version of Explorer or not. 7 is cool--you get tabs, like in Firefox. But I don't know if it's that, or something on your account at their site, or what. Strange.

12. Hey, just found something.

In Photobucket, go to "account options" (upper right corner area). Scroll down to album settings, on the left. There's a box that says "display direct link." See if that's checked. When I uncheck mine, that line goes away.

14. I just found something too!

Under each picture (just the first one at top left on each page) there's a line that says "customize links."

I clicked there, and then I had the option to add the direct link!

I clicked on that, and now I have it!

I also downloaded IE 7, but that didn't seem to make any difference!

Anyway, now I have the "direct link!"

I experimented with all three links that show up under my Photobucket pics, and none of them worked that way...

Without the little box, or some other stuff...

Are you clicking in the direct link box, then hiiting "control c"? I do that, then hit "control V" in the post field. Seems to work with no issues.
