can someone explain how to change my default email?

I want to change it so if I click on an email link on a web page it will open with my gmail account. It's currently opening with Outlook. I can't figure out where to even configure it. thanks in advance

1. Depends on your web browser.

I don't think it's possible for IE. Firefox has an experimental plug in that will allow AOL Mail, Google Mail and Yahoo! mail to accept the mailto links. I think it's possible in Opera too but since I don't really use that browser I don't know how.

3. You could push your gmail account to outlook...

but that's another thing for another day, i suppose. Try this add-on for firefox
