Second day on the new job: PAID holiday. Yes, I said "paid".

Today is St John's in Quebec, and pretty much everything is shut down. And much to my delight, even though I'm a contractor, I get *paid* holidays. I get another one next week for Canada Day.

I have an actual office with a door, my own printer, my own thermostat, and the view from the 21st floor is really nice.

Oh, and it's a 35-hour week.

And there's sushi and lebanese food at the building food court (even though I'll be packing a lunch most days).

This could be very very good. :)
