Someone has to say it: Deadliest Catch fucking sucks!

It's the same fucking show every fucking time.

1. The guys throw the cages into the water.
2. The narrator talks about how hard the work is and how tough the men are.
3. Someone yells about some shit.
4. The captains tell tales about something and talks about how good/bad the fishing is currently.
5. They haul the cages onto the boat and unload them.
6. Repeat cycle about three times an episode.

I just wish the Discovery Channel would quit showing the shit 6 hours a day.

6. I'm not a big fan, either.

It's not the worst stuff on Discovery, though. I reserve particular loathing for:

(1) Fundy shows masquerading as fact, like "Real True Genuine Scientific Mysteries of the Bible. Honest!"
(2) That whole "ID" (Investigation Discovery) sub-channel that's recently spawned, showing yet more programming about serial killers, wife batterers, and hit men. As if "TruTV" and "A&E" weren't bloodthirsty enough.
(3) Military propaganda masquerading as education, like "The FA-18 Hornet: Sexy or What? Betcha Wanna Fly One. Oh Yeah, With Some Science."

8. I absolutelty detest that show

it's on my channel 3 meaning it's on pretty much every time I turn my fucking TV on :(

9. I grew up with the family that owns the North American.

My dad worked in Alaska for about 20 years - not on boats but during summers as a comptroller for a pretty big seafood company. It's a probably a pretty accurate portrayal of the monotony and insanity that is crab fishing.
