Poll question: which would you do this saturday night? |
|
i have to choose between- going to a 40th grade school class reunion, which i have been looking forward to since one we had 3 years ago, and seeing stevie wonder (my all time fave) at grant park during taste of chicago. now, this is a logistical fete. it will be a zoo. i love stevie. but only the lucky and the persistent get to actually see and hear much of anything. that is not usually me. so, what would you choose?

1. Personally, Stevie ... |

I don't remember anyone from grade school I'd give two burps about seeing.

2. Stevie, if he doesn't play anything after 1985 or so... |
|
...most of the folks I grew up with in grade school, I also went with to high school, and there are quite enough reunions to go around (missed my 25th on purpose).
If you want, you'd have a chance to reconnect with them on the phone, individually, only the ones you'd most want to..

3. Although I avoided my own reunions |
|
10th and 25th, like the plague, I went with my mother to her 45th reunion and had a blast. There were only 29 people in her entire graduating class though so maybe they had more of a bond. You could hardly avoid knowing everyone in your class with only 29 people.

|
this is a free concert in the park. you have to stake a place out all day to see or hear jack. maybe i will let the weather decide. if it is beautiful, i won't go, cuz it will be packed. if it is drizzly and rotten like it is right now, that's the time to go. you get wet, but you get to see and hear.
