11. the TV watching is more of an amateur sport for me now

I had a major fail tonight though. I fell asleep during "LA Confidential", which I was trying to stay awake to watch - otherwise I would have gone to bed earlier. I woke up 2 - 4 hours later in the middle of "Millers Crossing", which is a good movie, but not what I wanted to see, and, besides, I just saw it a week or two ago. Now it's morning and I can't get back to sleep. I can't keep doing shit like this if I'm ever going to go pro with my TV watching.

12. Sorry to hear that

As someone who watches a lot of TV (and I don't, not because I don't like it - just have a lot of other things going on right now) - what do you consider worth watching these days? Back in my day I liked Twin Peaks, Picket Fences, and X-Files - not a big fan since then.

Anything you think is really intelligent and different worth seeing?? I am open to suggestions.

13. oh, probably nothing

I watch WAY more tv since I moved to the UK. TV is better here, but it's still mostly garbage. I think I mostly watch movies, documentary shows, and reruns of old shows that I like, like the Simpsons.

I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, and I think the newest version (of which they're in season 4 of now) is pretty good, but it's starting to get on my nerves - too soap-opera-y, and not as strong on the self contained episodes. I'd say that it's worth a go though. There are two hilarious sort of sitcoms that I doubt you get in the US: The Mighty Boosh, and Peep Show. They're both just completely insane, but I don't know about intelligent.

I think most new shows kind of suck - I can't stand that CSI stuff, or "Desperate Housewives". I don't know how those shows are popular. I was a big X-files fan, and feel silly for not liking Twin Peaks when it was on tv.... I think I was just a little too young to really get it. I don't think there's anything nearly that good on now.
