Whoa... we are having some serious thunder and lightning in Denver.
The flash and the sound are almost synonymous, and there are a lot of strikes. It's making my house shake! :scared:

1. Synonymous? "Flash" and "sound" mean the same thing?
Wow. I did not get that memo.

It seems like they'd be simultaneous, though.

Critters
being a smartass when intheflow probably needs one of these-->

6. Perfectly understandable. I just hope you're safe.
And I'm curious as all hell about what that deleted message said. Some people can't take a joke. Glad you did! Here's another one of these-->

8. I did that.
I double posted. I think the storms are having an effect on my internet access. I've had a few double posts, when the post doesn't seem to want to go through, and they've occurred simultaneously with the cable tv hiccuping. :hi:

...but I'll save that hug for if I lose my internet access. I'll jones without my DU!

7. We haven't gotten much at all down here.
I heard thunder once -- when I was getting out of the car -- and that's been it. Of course I didn't hear much yesterday either, and two cops got hit.

Are you getting any rain?

9. One short burst of pouring.
Over with in less than 5 minutes. I didn't hear about the cops getting hit in the Springs. We didn't have any such weather here yesterday. Are the cops ok?

11. Yeah, they're okay.
One of 'em was supposed to already be back to work. They had just stopped their training class in case weather moved in and, wham!

Seems like there's a lot of that down here. Heh...I had to crack up when they were talking about it on the news last night: "70% of the people struck by lightning survive. 20% don't."

Ummmmmm....huh? What happened to the other 10%?
