1. Ambien has very different effects on different people,
some of which are pretty drastic. I have taken it twice, and won't take it again.
Try melatonin, 2 tabs, about 30 minutes before you want to sleep. I works better for me than anything else, and is OTC.
It will not MAKE you sleep, but will let your mind gently relax.
I have had sleep problems for over 50 years, I take it most nights, and it works.

And I woke up after two hours of sleep feeling very hung over.

3. Very scary stuff
Somnambulism is a very real side-effect.

Ambien and Xanax are the most fearful instruments that BP has loosed upon us.
