Do you have sterotypes about jobs?
like ... librarians are boring, have a hair bun and wear glasses and were usually born before 1900? :)

10. Accountants are boring, nerdy & conservative guys
with glasses, white shirts and pocket protectors.

I'm boring & nerdy, but don't fit the rest of the stereotype yet (though, I may need glasses in a few years)

your mind is in the gutter, but I welcome any woman's mind going into the gutter if I was the one that put it there!

:P

See below for an actual pocket protector:

Why, what did you think it was?

19. Paralegals are glorified secretaries
It ain't so. In many firms, paralegals do exactly what a lawyer does, often knowing much more than a newly-hired associate, having better work ethic, and actually treating clients with respect. Of course, without any of the money that attorneys can make.

25. Call center staff stick to scripts.
I kid you not! Where I work scripts are circulated on a daily basis, even to the point of openings:
"Thank you for calling, my name is <fill in the blank>".

And someone had to camp it up on a TV commercial (or radio, can't remember which now as I tend to listen to the TV rather than watch it) with some guy saying just that (Thank you for calling my name is fill in the blank).

Mark.

29. Well I have to say...
Most people think scientists are dry boring, emotionless nerds with poor social skills.
Granted some are like that, but many are really fun interesting people!
One of my favorite comments here on DU was one poster saying that I totally busted his stereotype of the boring scientist!!:)

Not that I'm all that hot or anything, but I'm in my 20s, I don't wear glasses, and I at least TRY to make legal research somewhat interesting.
