Drives me fucking nuts.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/monument.asp

I wouldn't mind so much but he sent me the same email four months ago.

Maybe he's gone into summer reruns.

9. In summary
The original spam is about the religious significance of the Washington monument, and the Snopes article basically chalks it all up to accident or the religious sentiment at the time the monument was constructed, and concludes with the statement that in all of Washington's writings he never once referred to Jesus by name. :P

2. Premature Email Circulation.
It affects 4 out of 5 conservatives. The fifth can't figure out how to email. Like John McCain.

6. Yeah but I don't know most of the people in the list
but it's tempting. Replying to him isn't slowing him down.

8. I usually don't know all the people on the list either
For me, that's beside the point.

It usually gets the sender/friend to start taking the time to check things out before deciding to send the faux info on.

7. Because right wing nuts don't care if it is true, they only care about limpballs,
and O'LIEly.

You cannot argue with people like that.

My own mother that lives in my house insists bush is the best president ever, even though he hurts her financially. She insists he gets picked on too much.

But she never votes, so pfffft!
