and it is supposed to rain :nuke:
She turned 9 this week.
I was counting on throwing the kids outside with the volleyball net set up and let them play.
Now they will be in the house :banghead:
Do you think I can set up Twister in the living room and let them have at it? I don't have any videogame system, nor do I have a lot of space.
Any ideas?
There will only be about 10 kids....
Edited to add that she turned 9.

I'm kinda being vague here, but I would set up "stations" where the kids do different things at each place.
Like some sort of art project (doesn't have to be huge or messy), making/decorating cupcakes, a few different games in the living room, etc. Just think of the things Little MB likes to do, and then, with 10 kids, I'd aim for maybe five stations, split the group about in half, and then rotate every 15 min. or so.
Good luck!
On edit: Or, if you don't want it to be that intensive, just set up two "project" areas, for things that would take some supervision. Then have 3-5 of the kids working on one project while the other kids are playing games...and then switch out.

I like the cupcake decorating concept - then I don't have to do a cake myself :D

3. I was thinking 9 or 10 :D |

The cupcake thing is REALLY popular at that age. It's probably easiest to pre-bake the cupcakes, then set up a decorating station at the kitchen counter. Head to the store and buy out the frosting aisle, basically. Sprinkles, multiple frosting colors, etc...SO FUN! And then everyone has their own cupcake...and yup, no cake baking for you!

There are some school friends and then some family friends' kids who are younger so I know the decorating thing will go over well.
She made "sprinkle soup" with one of the kids last week when I stopped at a friend's house with ice cream sundae fixings....

I used to be a nanny. I'm well versed in the art of child entertainment. ;)

http://www.chuckecheese.com/parties/birthday-pricing-details.php?utm_source=GOOG&utm_medium=Brand&utm_campaign=Apollo&utm_nooverride=1 Sure it will be a bit expensive BUT it would be better than having a bunch of kids running around the house! I think nine year olds would love a pizza party!

7. We had a party there several years ago and it was really |
|
too expensive to justify again.
I am hoping the weather will cooperate and give me a little outdoors time for them.....
Plus, then there is the issue of transporting them the 28 miles to the "house of mouse"
