I just gashed my ankle open on my bed frame. Fuck, that hurts. |
|
It's pretty deep but not only about an inch long. Shouldn't need more than butterfly bandaids to stay closed, so I should be able to avoid going in for stitches. Naturally I'm out, so the kid and his father are running up to the door to get me some.
Luckily, it's not bleeding much, and doesn't really hurt a lot, though I imagine my ankle will be really stiff while it's heeling.
Stupid fucking high heels. I'd kick the person who invented them if I currently had two functional legs.

1. Until they get back, elevate it and put some ice on it. |
|
That will help control the bleeding AND the pain.
Also, remember, you can take up to 3200mg of ibuprofen a day with food or milk. That's 800mg three times a day. That should really help any stiffness or soreness.
Sorry, sweetie.

800mg 3x per day = uh, not 3200mg.

7. She's trying to kill me, isn't she. |
|
I'm more of the "take two shots and a nap" type, anyway.

|

5. Internship in an office enviornment. |
|
No jeans, no casual shoes, but at least they don't make me wear sleeves to cover my tattoo.
I keep telling myself this looks good on my resume and might get me hired with a pretty cool company.
PM me, I'll tell you the details.

9. I always douse wounds with hydrogen peroxide b4 bandaging. |
|
Always let it bleed a bit & rinse with warm water, hit it with the peroxide then bandage. Worked great this past weekend when I slashed my hand with a razor knife. It was about 1/8 of an inch deep & 3 inches long. It is healing nicely.

12. I didn't, I was a bit too shocked at being able to see the subcutaneous fat. |
|
It's pretty nasty looking, but luckily didn't hurt much and hardly bled. The trick is going to be keeping it from splitting open.

14. I'm really sorry to hear that! |
|
Did you wash it carefully? Get it cleaned out good before you bandaid it. And put some ice wrapped in a towel against it for twenty minutes or so to keep the swelling down.
I hope it's better in the morning!
