such a weird age, so many expectations.....
In November my bestest friends in the whole world are getting together in Conneticut....central location for us....they were my family in college....still are.....this will be the first time all six of us will have been together in 10 years at the same time......and I realized.....I"m the only person not living with someone, married, or a parent......such an odd situation since it was always me with the bf back then. My sis told me fuck it......go their looking like a million bucks, knowing your are right where you should be right now......."they'll probably be wearing mom jeans"

And shes right.....and then I thought....wtf.....why do we expect that by the age of 30 you should have your life totally setteled.....what if you "lived" a bit first.....how victorian to expect a woman to be married and pregnant before they are ready......such a weird age....

1. So true ...
I had this weird thought back when I graduated from HS (10 years ago wow) that I was supposed to be engaged at 21,married by 24 and with 2 kids.

But I like the life that I have now.I am the only one of my friends from HS that is not married or does not have kids. Some of my friends have one or both.

2. She's right. As long as you're satisfied with yourself...
who cares how others see you?

3. fuck it.
Of all my friends, I am the only one who is single-- and that's only because I got divorced three years ago.

And don't worry about being 30. I'll be 39 in a few weeks, and I feel more like 29 that I did when I was actuallly 29.

5. who cares?
Don't worry about it. Of my close friends from college, two are married (to each other), and another is in a serious relationship, but he lives in a different country than the guy. I've got a girlfriend, but I also don't live in the same country as her. I don't worry about it.... a lot of my friends from growing up have families, but I don't see them very much anymore. I don't really let it bother me, because that's what they want out of their lives, and I have what I want out of my life - no question. I wouldn't trade the way I live for what any of my friends have, and I hope they feel the same way about their lives.
