What neighborhood did Jeff Lebowski live in?

We know that treehorn lived in Malibu. Is it possible to make a Lebowski tour of LA?

I mean, how many bowling lanes can ther have been in Malibu in the '80s?

5. somewhere in the valley, I would guess

maybe north hollywood, or valley village.... possibly further north. I'm guess this because it didn't seem very hilly. The only neighbour of his that I think we see is a white guy, so it's hard to tell neighbourhood based on primary ethnicity. The other Lebowski was in Pasadena, right? I could also guess that The Dude could have lived somewhere in west LA. I should rewatch it and see what freeways are mentioned when - that would be the best way to sort it out. Personally, I just like to think of it as generic 1990's LA.
