Goddamn Brewers play American League style ball and the Twins play National League style ball.

1. Well, the Brewers WERE an AL team... It stands to reason I guess.

2. Are you SURE you'd want the Rockies winning 4 of 6 games against the Twinkies every year?
I mean come on... My Rockies STINK! But we still won the series against the Twins in April...

4. I've been meaning to talk to you about your sig line
I think it's grossly unfair to the Cylons.

5. Well, you know... These things happen.
I'll change it eventually. Really, it only represents the mindless Cylons that Cavil and his other evil cohorts control. You know, the ones without freedom of thought.

Because nobody that actually thinks could possibly vote for John McCain.

7. Hmm... Not quite. Maybe another post or two would do it.
That's a good idea though. If I could find a picture of a lobotomized Raider, I would switch it out in a heartbeat!

She's got the soul of a National Leaguer in a Republican Leaguer's body.

13. They have been the Twins since 1961.
They were the AL champs in 1965, World Series Champs in 1987 and 1991. They have had divisional championships in the years 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006.

But they never win.

17. Eh
They had the Three Jims, who were a combined 51-25 that year.

And the Fat Kid and Minch and the poor bastard facing Koufax in that photo, one of the best pure hitters the game has ever known, and a real mosquito of a shortstop who was one of the few major leaguers with a name that started with 'Z'.

And Earl Battey, who caught all seven games even though he damned near tore off his head on the dugout overhang.

That was a damned good ball club.

18. Yes, they were an amazing ball club.
How I would love to have a time machine and go back and actually BE at game 7. If I find a time machine, would you like to join me?

:hi:

22. I noticed two things in the films
One, it had an open right field, like a lotta the old yards. Dunno why, but I've always liked that.

Two, the fans were... polite. How much fun can you have winning on the road when the home fans just go, "Ohhhh, that's just a shame, yah"?

26. the stupid brewers never should have left to begin with
and given us a team imbalance. nothing but a huge scam at the time -- and the maxed-out popularity of the Cards and Cubs had everything to do with it...

if there was one job i was ever BORN to do, it would be MLB Commish....this whole league needs to finally join the 21st century...
