My computer Mouse is stuck..... |
|
do I need a new one?
It won't point to my focus spot. :(
A friend told me to put a white sheet of paper over my mouse pad and it worked for a while.
I thought he was half crazy but it did work for about three hours, now it just keeps rolling around and finally it will land, after about 20 seconds.
I'm in the area of the computer store in an hour.
Do I buy a new Mouse?
I just got the new pad a month ago.
Help!

2. optical mouse - no pad needed. and pretty cheap. |
|
for now, if you take the ball out and get at the rollers with a toothpick an pull all the goop out that will help.

Mine goes crazy if the batteries need replacing. If it's not an optical wireless, try cleaning it. You can remove the ball and use canned air to blow it out really good.

4. The Lounge is the best! |
|
I didn't even know that it could be cleaned and I've had the computer 3 years.
I unscrewed it and the ball dropped out.
I blew off the dust and pieces of tiny cookie crumbs fell out.
I wonder why? :)
It's working again for now!
I'll stop by the computer store anyway and see about the optical mouse.
Thanks!

and wipe the ball and where the ball resides down with the wipe. But, a optical mouse is better. Check Sunday's ads.

8. I have cleaned more mice than I care to reveal |
|
Make sure to check the roll bars inside the mouse.
They tend to get gunky too

Do I leave the receiver into the UBS port when I close down for the night.
It's not on the directions?

I hate 'em. But jeez, a new mouse is ultra-cheap. Go buy one and keep it in a drawer for emergencies.

9. Open It Up And Clean The Ball |
|
Mine does that and I just clean it inside with a q-tip and alcohol - the rollers that control the ball - and it's just fine.
