History/archaeology buffs: Has anyone read Evan Hadingham's "Secrets of the Ice Age?"

I saw a copy at one of my local used bookstores yesterday, and it looked interesting (going by the dust jacket blurb), but when I tried to skim the first couple chapters, I discovered that the previous owner had been a mewling fundamentalist shithead who'd defaced the book with crude, fanatical scrawlings. And when I took a look at the rest, I discovered that the fundie hadn't restricted himself to just the first few chapters...

Unsurprisingly, I didn't buy it. I'd like to find a used copy online, but I can't find any reviews of the book, and I was paying more attention to the presence of the fundamentalist babble than the content when I skimmed it. I don't want to spend my money and then discover the book's some von-Daniken-inspired crap. It didn't seem to be, but I'd prefer to hear from someone who's read it.
