*BLECH* it's 100 degrees and I have a cold
Little girl had it earlier this week then my wife. This slammed me yesterday and this morning I felt like someone had taken a garden rake to my throat.

1. Me too (all three)
Used the rake and then attached the frigging hose to my nose. Jeez, the only advantage of living in Florida in the summer is that you usually don't get colds then. Aaaachoooo!

8. When I have a summer cold, I go hang out in the heat.
It usually takes away my symptoms. Hope you're feeling better soon.

9. Go outside and sweat it out..

I had a summer cold one time, and went into my car that had been closed up and parked in the sun for a while. I swear I sweated that cold out, and it felt soooooooooooo good.

13. I'm thinking about going for a swim
1/2 mile at the gym. That will at least clear out the lungs

10. Mine started with sore throat/tonsils,
changed to 'cold,' that is, nose, then throat/chest congestion. All in florida. and didn't get from kids, prolly from seniors!

Its improved, with listerine, sudafed, and 'tussin.'

SO good luck to us all!

11. Zicam, get it quick!
It is zinc in a gel form you swab in the pointiest part of your nose, and it binds with the cold virus so it can't reproduce. I have taken it even after my glands get swelly, and 8/10 times, it wipes the cold out.

Get it. Take it when someone else in the house is sick. It really really works and the pink grapefruit flavor is quite tasty.
