So I got someone else's meds in the mail today. |
|
4 bottles (by the feel of it) from Express Scripts.
A good flvegan, knowing tomorrow is Sunday and there's no mail nor post office open, would drive them to the rightful home. It's only one street over. I'd try to find a number first, and announce my delivery. I'm polite like that.
A "don't know, don't care" flvegan might be bothered to drop them off at the PO on Monday. With luck, he'll have them Wednesday.
A devilish flvegan would open the package and see what he's scored.
Decisions, decisions...

But then again it could be some poor old lady's heart medication.

5. Whichever you do (and I think it will be the right thing)... |
|
...I'd go to the PO and let them know about the misdelivery and that they might want to be a little more conscientious in the future with people's medications, for God's sake.

:(
That's cool that you're dropping them off. I know I tend to cut it a little close on refills sometimes. Unfortunately, none of my meds are available through my insurance's mailorder plan (too rife for abuse, apparently) so I have to get them the old-fashioned way.

Weeping a lot, but the fluid is clear and the skin's not red or inflamed so I don't think it's getting infected.
A friend of mine is on thryoid and she's like, what, 22? I was just tying to think of some non-abusable, no street value, utterly boring medication.

Since the birth of my son. Sometimes women will get pregnancy related hypothryoidism that goes away. Not me. I don't have that kind of luck.

16. I'm going in to have mine tested. |
|
I've put on a fair amount of weight pretty quickly and my diet hasn't changed. Also, my sleep is perhaps a bit more disordered than normal, but I have insomnia anyhow, so that might be nothing.
Figured I'd get it looked at.

19. I've been on Armour Thyroid for decades. |
|
Since my thyroid conked out when I was 11. Armour Thyroid is more bioactive than the synthetic stuff.
I was on 2 grains per day for years and was still exhausted. Now I take 4, and feel much better, and finally convinced my dr I was not a nervous wreck on 4 grains.

I really liked it. He said there's recent studies indicating heart issues with those on higher doses, so that was the end of that.
He's not a tool of the pharm industry, so I listened.
Bummer.
I hope you're feeling well, and everything's going fine.

20. UPDATE Stupid "good flvegan" |
|
No fun, but a slightly funny story.
His number was in the White Pages, so I gave him a call. Older gent. Told me I'd "better have something good to say" in his greeting.
He met me at his gate. Not the most trusting fellow (not that I blame him). HUGE black dog with him and a gun of some sort of large caliber in his waistband. He was very thankful and seemed kind of shocked that I had gone out of my way for him.

the person who didn't receive it will try to track it down, may even report it stolen in order to get it represcribed and then the devilish flvegan, if he scored something good and kept it would be the flvegan wearing an orange jumpsuit and flip flops and playing cards all night with the guys...
The real flvegan will take them over to the rightful owner and won't even open the package.

i have express scripts and i live on a street where my items have frequently been delivered to the wrong addy
i am forever grateful to those kind souls who have brought me the items from one street over or who phoned me so i could go over and pick up (both have happened)
in my humble opinion if i did not want to spend $ on gas because of somebody else's screw up i would just put it as part of my exercise time and walk the one street over with the RX -- in that way it is costing me nothing anyway and is helping the other person just the same
it's your call obviously but that's what i would do and have done
edit -- have now read the whole thread and kudos to you for delivering the RX to the suspicious old gent

35. eh, they're not allowed to mail the good drugs anyway so you may as well drop them off |
|
and pat yourself on the back for being a good guy. My mom's insulin recently was somehow delayed in shipment and she had to pay through the nose to get a couple days' supply at the regular pharmacy. You could literally save someone's life and/or save them a lot of money and difficulty. I know you'll do the right thing.
And if your curiosity is killing you, you could open the package "mistakenly" and see what's in it and then take it to its rightful owner

If it's nothing good, you can still deliver it to them, and say you didn't noticed that it was to the wrong address, and just opened up a package that was in the mailbox.... which is exactly what you did. You certainly never posted anything about it on a message board, nor did you mail a bottle of pills to someone in England named "harmonicon".
