Saw Pixar's Wall-E Today... no spoilers, really...
with my son

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0910970/

I think it might actually have some kind of positive impact on society from an environmental standpoint, maybe even adults :P

Seriously!!!!!!!

Also it is a well done (as all Pixar movies are) movie and is entertaining for adults and kids.

8. Pizza sounds good.
We didn't really do much today. More of the same tomorrow, but we'll clean the house. It needs it terribly.
Anyway, have fun with the wii and the SPK jr!

6. I would think so, can't think of anything that was
in any way inappropriate

not even any robo-sex scenes

seriously it was good and I think it is appropriate, my son is 8 y/o and there weren't even any "fart" references which I'm sure disappointed him. :spray: but not me!

9. Thanks
are you kidding, they would love fart scenes

A lot of Disney movies scare them. I try to be careful what I show them. They tend to like stuff like Tom & Jerry and The Pink Panther. Stuff on Cartoon Network. My four year old twins don't get scared as much as my five year old, maybe because they are still at home with me and not out in the 'real world'. lol They all loved Horton Hears a Who and Cars. I think those were the last two movies we went out to see. We don't get out too often. They really want to see this one though. We saw the Wii game last night at the rental place and they all went crazy over it.

Thanks again.

11. There is absolutely nothing objectionable in it
At no time, did it go for the cheap, vulgar laugh. It never has to.

There are a couple of scenes where WALL-E is put into jeopardy that really little kids might find scary, but they aren't too bad. WALL-E comes out okay.

20. My son loved it (he's turning six on Saturday).
I thought he was scared during a couple parts, but it turned out he just wanted to cuddle. Good, good movie.

7. I saw it yesterday.

WALL-E was charming and his environments were depressing!
As Connonym said in another thread- WALL-E watches (junk) were handed out to kids (well, maybe only opening day because that wasn't happening when I went). I did feel compelled to bring my little cardboard popcorn snack tray home to put in the recycling bin, but I do that anyway.
Here is a short, cute youtube trailer of WALL-E-

10. Saw it today, too. It was terrific.
I was amazed how it dealt frankly with the bleak aftermath of environmental devastation, while being enormously charming and funny at the same time.

Hopefully, the environmental message will rub off. But there was also a strong "get off your lazy ass" message that I hope reaches people too.

18. OK, we will!
:bounce:
We got back from Cancun last night, picked up the kids this morning from the airport and now we're about ready to go grab sushi dinner and catch an evening showing of it.

Even though we're still on Cancun time (2 hrs ahead of CA time) and the kids are on DC time (3 hrs ahead), we're still going strong, for some reason.

We're all happy to see each other again, after two weeks apart.

:loveya:

Thanks for the endorsement, I'll let you know what we think! :hi: :pals:

19. Just saw it for my kids' birthday party.
It was awesome! Wicked social commentary, and how could you not love a movie with "Hello, Dolly" references all through it?
