3. It was very zen.
The only thing that could have been better would have been having my dog along.

He's recovering from major knee re-engineering surgery, so he had to stay home by himself in the crate. :(

It was a very nice walk, it's a BEAUTIFUL day (and it snowed a matter of WEEKS ago here! - I'm so excited it's finally warm), and I enjoyed every moment of being outdoors.

2. As soon as I scrolled down and saw those cemetery trees, I knew you lived in the NW.
Gorgeous photos!

4. Thanks!
Yes, the NW is a very beautiful place! :) Our cemetery still blows my mind. Coming from Michigan, I've never seen anything like it. It's on the national historical register.

6. He's alright.
Better now that he's absorbing some training. MY dog, however, LOVES that damned little dog like the neocons love GWB.

I'm most definitely more attuned to larger breeds. :)

7. He has a sweet little face.
I love any dog. It doesn't matter if he's trained, living on the street, or what. He just looks like he is so full of love and needs a little in return. I just wanna hug him.

8. He'd let you hug him.
He's definitely a MUCH happier dog now than he was - in his "real" home ... (long story). He's acclimated amazingly well, and is much more secure and comfortable having a place in the pack. He is also happy now that he's learned about cats ... he gets held down and loved on by one in particular on almost a daily basis.

18. Awwww, she's cleaning him.
Of course, they only do that to those in their family.
Thanks for posting those pics. What a sweetie!

10. Ha ha -
I was thinking about that when I walked by it. Not a critter to be seen today. Just birds. And annoying little dogs. ;)

I got rather toasty! I'm getting redder by the hour. It was a lovely walk - you would have enjoyed it. Kinda HOT though - although probably downright temperate compared to what you're used to. According the the thermometer stuck on the outside of my office window it's about 85 degrees right now.

11. 85 would be NICE!
I think it's 185 here. :D

I played some golf this afternoon. I got a little roasty myself.

12. No humidity either - love that.
I did the "loop" ... Coal Miner's trail to the park, walked across the park to get Oscar some water, into town, stopped at the Post Office, didn't have my KEYS, down to the Roslyn Market, got something to drink and sat outside with the dog while I drank it - watching the world go by. Back through town, up to the cemetery, then the Nelson Dairy Rd. back home. The last 3 (?) photos are from the corner that's only a few blocks from the house.

14. I lied.
Last two are from the corner 3 blocks from the house - the 3rd to last is the field we saw all the elk in when you were here last and we took the same walk.

15. That's such a great walk.
I'm looking forward to doing it with Bodhi in August.

I guess Oscar can come too. :)

16. HOPEFULLY Bodhi will be cleared for long walks/hikes by then.
There's a chance he will not - that may still be too far for him then. We're doing his PT now though - short walks (5-10 mins) a couple of times per day ... and I really hope we can get in a couple of good hikes before the weather turns. In the meantime, I've got Oscar in training.

17. I really hope he can make those long walks.
It would be nice to take him to the lake or river, too.

Finally!

We have a Cicely's Gift shop here - I had someone ask me not more than a few days ago if a black person owns it. :eyes: I said "NOOOOOOOOOO (jackass!), as in Cicely ALASKA. You know. Northern Exposure?"
