It was gorgeous, but the humidity was absolutely unbelievable. This California girl just ain't used to that kinda heat. Whew!!

Great little flick, we all really enjoyed it and the message it gave.

9. It was incredible!!! The first all-inclusive place we've ever stayed.

It was a splurge, but hell, we're worth it! We got back last night and picked up the kids from the airport this morning.

It's good to be back together with them again, after two weeks apart. :loveya:

I can't believe all the smoke, though! (cough, cough) The annual Scotts Valley fireworks show got canceled, unfortunately. We always have a big ole bbq party at our house and watch them from our corner, but we won't get to do it this year.... Oh well. We'll just party instead. :D

10. It's amazing how much you can miss your kids

I've arranged a trip for September to see my son in Virginia - I realized I haven't seen him in about 6 years because my family is so spread out and I keep having to pick and choose who to visit. So now it's his turn and I'm so looking forward to it. And so is he. :bounce:

6 yrs is a long time. I once went 7 yrs without seeing my mom, so I know how that is. I'm sure it'll be great to see each other again.

Interestingly enough, VA was where my kids were just visiting with my Dad, who lives outside of Fredericksberg, in a small town called Locust Grove. It's about 90 min south of DC.

20. Yes, it was stunningly gorgeous and incredibly hot and humid, too.

We never even left the resort the whole time we were there. Why leave? Besides, it was too frickin' hot to do anything else except lay around all day.... :evilgrin:

We're talking temps in the high 80's, low 90's...with humidity around 90%. Ugh. We found it incredibly unmotivating to attempt anything more than just lounge around the pools and beach....
