Should I apply for a job up in Calgary? |
|
Specifically, my company is bidding to do some engineering design work up in the Athabasca oil sands. Should I go for it? Will my little Civic be able to survive the winter?

2. Yes - don't listen to what anybody else tells you about the weather |
|
It's not THAT cold and even when it actually IS that cold, it's a dry cold. You're OK as long as you take precautions. Besides, Calgary gets the Chinook.
I grew up in Southern Ontario and in the winter we'd get cold moist air coming off the lake that would chill you to the bone.
If you need any further information about Canada, PM me.
