What a great day for...THE BEACH!!
Carbon Canyon beach ~ Malibu, CA

Upper 70s, light breeze, no clouds.

And yes, I do have a new sunburn. Not too horrible though, thanks to the SPF 30.

I love summer in Southern California! (when it's not 110 degrees...) :woohoo:

1. Good thing the surfers didn't mistake you for paparazzi.
It won't be upper 70s until 5:00am here. x(

3. Hahahahaha
Actually, didn't see any paps...or any surfers. Which is odd, since it was a high surf day.

We've had a few days where it didn't cool down until 5 am, but this week has been wonderful. It was only in the mid-80s here in the valley.

5. We have the most bored weatherpersons.
Today, hot and dry. Tomorrow, hot and dry. The day after that, we technically have a 20% chance of rain, but it will be hot and dry. Unless it rains, then it will be hot and steamy.

6. Our weatherpersons are mentally deficient
All they have to do is predict the temperature. Which really only varies by about 20 degrees. It never rains this time of year. EVER. It may be hazy in the morning...excuse me, we may have a "marine layer" in the morning, but still. And yet they CANNOT do it. The forecast for this weekend? 100 degrees. Actual temperature? 84.

MORANS.

11. LOL
"What a weekend! We have sun, earth, and atmosphere, so we have weather! Not weather, sun, sun, sun, sun, sun! It will...(weather map magnet pulls arm up and pins it to map) My watch! Turn off the magnet!"

"I've got it!"

"Okay... Turn off the magnet! Now, the financial report....And... cut. Okay, let's see what we've got....You'll run that on Saturday?"

"Pretaping the weather?"

"Coming in on weekends is tough. My busy weekend schedule. It's L.A. What's gonna change?"

14. The surf is breaking right on the beach.
When you see the waves break simultaneously across the length of the wave it is known as a close-out break. Both are very undesirable.

4. You're welcome!
Next time I'll take my actual camera and take more pics. I only had my cell phone with me this time.

Glad you enjoyed it!

8. I did!
The iPhone camera is actually *really* good.

I could have taken better pics if I had gotten up off the towel. ;)

We were there for about 3 hours, so I probably should have reapplied the sunscreen. Ah well!

13. Thank you!
The camera on it really is good. The color is a little off...it was more turquoise than that in reality, but oh well! I think that had more to do with the intense sun than the camera though.

10. Awwwww!
But...Maryland's not far from the ocean! It's far from MY ocean, but you've got your own. ;)

I hope you do get to go the end of July. If I ever leave LA, the beach is what I'll miss the most. Well, that and the weather in the winter. :P
