15. we got hit fast by the Bush economy

9/11 hit while I was working in the tourism industry, hubby got outsourced 6 months later, we started a new business that was looking very promising for a couple years then lost the business due to MORE corporate outsourcing, filed Chapter 13 etc etc.

I lurk in the Economy forum and they started yelling about the housing bubble back in late 2005 and so when everything turned south AGAIN New Years 2006, we sold our grossly inflated house in Phoenix, took the $$$ and ran to a rural area, paid cash for the new place out of our ill gotten gains, but then struggled for two years finding decent employment.

Hubby got a great job in January and I got one two months ago, and we're finally able to get the deferred health care we both need, fixed the cars, and we're paying off the Chapter 13 bankruptcy THIS MONTH!! a full 11 months early!

so yes, it's been hell since 2001 but I am finally starting to breath again and feeling like we might be OK

hang in there, things *do* change. just keep on keeping on.....
