Is that a C & C? Looks to be 28 -30 Ft. Is that about right?

4. It's a '73 Venture Newport.........

It looks bigger than it is. It's 23' but cutter rigged. It has a bow sprit so end to end it's about 26'.
Fun boat and inexpensive. Has a pop-top with berths for 5, head, galley, etc...... and trailerable with swing keel.

5. Do you use an outboard..or..

is there an inboard engine?

Johnson 9.9 outboard. The engine isn't on it in the picture.
You can usually pic these boats up for under $2,000.00 with engine and trailer. The tough part is finding one.

9. We used to lease a 27' C& C

fully equipped ...everything but the booze...for about $275 per weekend...with 4 of us it wasn't a bad thing.

When my friends moved away I didn't have anybody to share the costs with. It's been about 6 years since we sailed Lake Superior...Chequamegon (Sha-wam-a-gin) Bay.

Nice craft, whay kind? I've seen a similiar one like it on our marina, but with a blue hull.

My folks have a 27 fott catalina they let me use....wish I was out there now.
