1. I don't but...
Edited on Sun Jul-06-08 10:15 PM by Chan790
I don't have to go in until 5 PM then it's a short shift because I have to teach a training: "How to use X."

I swear to Dog, I'm not kidding. X.

X.

Edit: I realized that's probably proprietary. Silly but proprietary nonetheless. These Xs weren't Xs to begin with.

5. Le Sigh.
I've already said too much. You'll find out with the rest of the plebs. It's nothing great...it's actually kind of silly.

7. Yes...
coffee actually. I was a semi-finalist in the USBC (US Barista Championships) but now I work for a megalo-corporate entity who would kill me for having a big mouth.

We do.

8. I do, but I don't always take it. My work schedule pretty much requires things get done
in a regular pattern. And I don't really mind if I don't get another day off. But I do find myself irritated when lots of people are at places I'm used to having to myself on Mondays!!

10. Got that.
I work from home 99 percent of the time, so now I really don't like to work with other people.

I can get more done at home and faster.

11. I do grocery shopping, errand running, etc on Mondays.
Usually, there aren't a whole lot of people at those places in the middle of a workday. And not much traffic. But on Monday holidays, there are either a lot more customers or a lot less help! And more traffic! Just annoys me.

12. I work at nights from home so everyday is like a day off.
I can get my work done in 4 or 5 hours, it is rather boring.

The only time I have to go to work is if someone really screws up, which isn't often.

I am glad I don't have to make that 40 round trip even if the traffic is light.

I really wish more people could work from home.

13. Me, too. I live next door to my office. I just walk across the yard.
If people lived near where they work, a lot of problems would be solved.

15. That just sucks.
They don't want to provide any benefits.

I know several people who have been cut back to 4 days per week only so they can't reach 40 hours.

18. I don't know why we are off.
Friday was the 4th, and we have plenty of work to do.

All it means is we have to work harder to make up for tomorrow.

I shouldn't complain but everything will just get backed up.

19. I can't even think about being retired for 8 more years.
I could be retired if I had taken another path in life but I didn't.

Are you enjoying being retired?

My neighbor works a part time job to keep busy.

He had to take a buy out.

20. Took about a year to get used to it
Drifting, loose end. drinking etc.

Now I'm happy - volunteer with seniors, little part-time job at the local library, ditched the car, walk everywhere, love people, do a bit of background (extra) work in the movies shot here in N.S. Canada.

Nap around supper-time. Not enough hours in the day.

Have a lady companion who used to own a Greek restaurant (yummy).

Went to see Dylan with my kids a few months ago, Riverdance cos I'm Irish and Jose Gonzales last week.

Lunch-time classical concerts at a big church here. Atlantic Jazz Festival starts next weeek - all day, free outdoor concerts till 6pm.

Gay pride parade the following week, then an International Buskers concert 10 days in August on the waterfront.

Be up all night watching the Olympics from 08-08-08.

I gotta keep a day-timer now.

I'm 63 today (7th) Ringo's 68 today too

Peace

23. My neighbor wasn't ready to retire so it did take him time to adjust.
Sounds like you are having a great time.

I wish I could, because I would move to my land in the country and farm a little.

I am trying to work out something so I could do this in a couple years but time will tell.

Have fun.

When she is home she is sleeping.

Enjoy tomorrow, I am going fishing at the bayou.

Can't keep the fish but fishing is good.:hi:
