can anybody spare some good vibes? job interview
I'm really nervous. I am flying cross country (North Carolina) tomorrow for a job interview marathon (all day Monday, plus dinner, plus most of Tuesday). I have to give a presentation too. I really need this (a) job. In my field jobs only come in "cycles" so if I don't get it I will have to wait until next year before I can apply to anything else (except food service, temping, and other McJobs I'd rather not have to do).

So I'd appreciate any well-wishing for Monday (that's when the presentation is)

Thanks!

1. Good luck!
Stick to the big cities. The sticks in that state are very unprogressive.

4. Many good thoughts coming your way, Gs!
Stay loose and know that you're a winner.

Hang in there, get as much rest as you can, be yourself, and things will go swimmingly.

All best to you -- :toast:

5. Thanks everyone!
I really believe that sending positive energy someone's way has gotta help.

I'm going to Chapel Hill/Raleigh/Durham, which I've heard is really nice. I don't think there are many rural places in the US that I would be able to stand living in. Too many Freepers.

7. Might I suggest......
lots of coffee.

It keeps you sharp and is often mistaken for confidence.

9. a couple other ideas
Be sure to ask lots of open ended questions, especially about their needs and what they are looking for in the person. The best interviews are the ones where you get them to talk the most.

10. Good luck on yours, I'll be having one next week as well
A two day interview requiring travel sounds intense though. Good luck.
