1. Does Costner play a jock?

because I only ever like his movies if he's a baseball player or a golfer. It's a really weird thing, I don't like sports movies, I don't like Kevin Costner but I like Field of Dreams, For the Love of the Game and Bull Durham. Go figure.

2. You're discussing "Swing Vote"? Opening in August... according to IMDB, Costner plays a

"lovable loser" from "Texico, New Mexico" whose single vote gets to decide a Presidential election.

I saw the trailer today -- lots of good actors -- hope it has a decent script.

3. yeah I watched the trailer

and they *did* show him tossing a football so his character might be a jock in which case I'll probably like the movie. Because seriously, I hate Kevin Costner other than in the above-mentioned 3 roles.

4. Well, there was just a brief scene with the football and the Secret Service.

The trailer I saw showed him fishing.

You can always wait for some reviews, and then judge accordingly.

Or jump right in and go on opening day.
