Housekeeping hint for the lounge....
Let's say, for instance, a person was sitting on a couch, with a glass of red wine, minding one's business and that of other loungers, and stood with said glass of red wine and took a step only to find the power cable wrapped around an ankle. Then suppose this person fell to the floor and accidentally spilled red wine all over a light gray carpet. Here's what you do, immediately seek the help of another resident by saying "I need your help!" which for many, triggers a paternal instinct. Then follow up with "I've fallen!" enhancing the sense of danger and immediacy. Then add "I've spilled wine, I'm so sorry!"

Then, my advice is, get on the internets and search for "spilled red wine carpet" and discover to your joy that club soda will take out the stain, blotting not rubbing. EVeryone is happy now.

1. I'd hand the empty glass to the nearest DUer and run away...

only to casually stroll back in later with a large hat.

But I'd never have tripped in the first place!

   :hi:

3. If you drink enough white wine, do you no longer care about the
red wine on the rug?

4. If you drink enough white wine,
you a) no longer care about the red wine on the rug,
b) can no longer feel your lips, and
c) will be adding a charming vomit stain next to the red wine stain on the rug.

5. Well, at least Option C means that everyone will stop worrying
about the red wine stain on the rug.

BTW - do you make people take their shoes off at your house? I want to keep mine on given the state of your rug.....
