Saturday night dinner thread |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-21-04 07:39 PM by jchild
What are you having for dinner tonight? I have had a busy day, and was going to do a take-out pizza tonight, but that rat-tail thread and all of the posts discussing the horrors of restaurant dining changed my mind.
What's cookin'? If you are dining out, whatcha having? I am too tired to think creatively about dinner, much less cook it. I might be able to stomach Chinese, but I don't think I can eat a pizza tonight. :silly:
Edit: Told you I'm tired...can't think. :(

4. Caesar salad and bistro roasted chicken.... |
|
...sound good to me. Enjoy!
Antelope? As in "where the deer and the antelope play? And seldom is heard a discouraging word?" I imagine the antelope and venison on the menu have discouraging words for it.

8. Yeah, that bugs me, too. |
|
But then, I've eaten deer that someone has hunted, so I guess I can't say much. I'd be curious as to where they get their meat from, though.

I usually cook it at home.
My kid is demanding pizza, so I guess we will take our chances.

Important: never stand at a drive-thru window when an impatient female dually driver is wanting blood. :-)

|
so i wouldn't want the antelope, or the steak, nor the venison...
anything with chicken or fish is fine by me (though i know that you know or at least i think you do - that you don't need my permission - heh heh) and salads are always good too...
the penne italian looks good to me also...

25. Nothing yet and I'm starved |
|
Sometimes I'm too busy to eat. I was out with my daughter, then hubby went to work a couple hours ago. I've been really busy taking care of laundry and other things, then I checked my e-mail and logged on here for a few minutes, knowing I didn't have enough time to prepare what I wanted and to get to sit down peacefully. Now I have to put my 5 year old back in his bed (and go into drill Sargent mode which I hate) and get my 2 year old to sleep. That'll take awhile (about a 1/2 hour). I think I'll ask my daughter to throw some buffalo wings in the oven for me and I probably eat that with a salad once my little dude's asleep.

My wife ordered a whole bunch of stuff from the Schwann's truck that comes around. I was really skeptical about what is essentially frozen dinners and stuff, but it was not bad. It is tough to get out to the store much less going out to dinner with infant twins and all, so having this stuff delivered to your door is pretty nice. The stuff we cooked tonight was actually really good.
