Well, I have a day off without pay...
And two doctors appointments.

Hmm... why am I tempted to cancel them both and be lazy? It's just the optometrists and allergist. It's not like I have to go through a cardio work-up or anything. But the longer my morning drags out the more anxious I become. This is ridiculous. Now I need counseling for white coat anxiety. :-( Do they hypnotize people for that??

1. Tell the doctor you have white coat anxiety
and he can give you something for it.

Good luck.

2. The optometrist? The allergist?
Not in my town! lol You might have better doctors than I have. I can't even get an anti-depressant, after I beg for one, from an Internist!!

3. You can't? That's ridiculous.
Find another doctor. If you are experiencing depression, you should be able to get whatever drugs will help you. Depression is no joke.

And, if the allergist is an MD, he/she should be able to give you an Rx for anything you need. Actually, so should a NP or a PA.

5. Tell me about it!
I have gone to four different doctors... and told them I feel I have depression. I kid you not-- they don't believe me!! I think it's all my airline training, or something-- being forced to act cheerful for almost 20 years (three different airlines). It's the strangest thing... they dish it out like candy to other people. I've resigned myself to it now. But this anxiety... well, that will have to be dealt with. Thanks for your advice about the MD... I will ask her this afternoon. :hi:

8. In the meantime, chamomile tea has some soothing properties.
It might help to calm you down.
