3. I have a 2 year old
...and if making hot dogs into octopi will get her to eat, it wouldn't be a dumb tool at all. Anything that can help accomplish that task is ok by me....

6. "children will never starve themselves." Some of the best advice I ever got!
It took a lot of pressure off of feeding Darling Princess.

Children are grazers and sometimes have trouble with our concepts regarding "meals".

Unsolicited advice:

hot dogs are gross. The bonds we make with food as children can stick with us our entire lives.

7. We almost never served our kids hot dogs
So I wouldn't be inclined to buy something that actually encouraged them to eat them.
