7. Maybe you should use "adverse possession" to take everyone's property...
and then kick them out of the city. But hurry before the law changes!

8. Fine, then. I claim the entire city. Why? Because the fools artificially capped...
Edited on Wed Jul-09-08 06:45 PM by Writer
the city's growth, forming an exclusive, insulated little community affordable by only the wealthy.

So I claim the entire City of Boulder on the grounds of stupidity.

9. You can have it, now that I'm out.
Jeeez, classify the boundary as open space and limit buildings to two floors and surprise, surprise, only rich people can afford to live there.

Mayor Writer, whip that city into shape!

15. I have reclaimed a luxury home in Boulder Heights just for you, kagehime.
If you'd like, I could score you a large townhouse near the Pearl Street Mall...

13. I did my undergrad in Austin, and it went something like this:
1993: Roads are fairly navigable.

1997: You can't go north on I-35 to save your life. Good luck, sucka!

What's up with these college towns in the hills, man?

14. It's that awesome quality of life we have here.
Of course, I moved here in 2000, so I'm probably one of the guilty ones. At least I didn't move here from...California...

Boulder's got the great quality of life, too. I like that area; it's on my short list of relocation possibilities.

16. We were in Austin last year visting Mr. Writer's parents...
it was really lovely, until we got onto Mopac.

Then we realized why we didn't want to move back.

:P

It is a lovely area, and I'm certain that's why many Cali's moved there... and to Boulder, too. ;)

17. I only get on 35 and Mopac on weekends.
Thankfully, I have a relatively short, against the flow of traffic and highway-free commute to the office.
