We had smoke from a North Carolina fire in my neck of the woods about a month ago, and that was bad enough.

we are a bit further south from you...lots of smoke, 107*, and our dog got massively sprayed by a skunk in our backyard...twice...

It's raining a bit here right now, and we're supposed to get "chances of" thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow. My pain level is telling me that it's a 100% chance of thunderstorms. I wish I could send them your way.

7. My friend lives in paradise and she is now being

evacuated. It is so smokey today in Sacramento that the air non quality index is now over 300. bad bad bad.

I travel to Redding occasionally, as my Uncle lives in Palo Cedro and a friend teaches at Shasta College. It really does get unbelievably hot there.

My whole family (back to my grandfather) was CDF, so fire season always brings back memories...
