Someone at Google should be fired
At the top of the Lounge page, in those Google ads, there are links to the campaigns of Bob Clegg and Jennifer Horn. Both are Republicans running against New Hampshire's excellent freshman congressman, Paul Hodes.

Why anyone thought that pushing Bob Clegg (a windy, establishment conservative) on Democratic Underground was a good idea is beyond me!

1. My dear BlueDogDem...
It seems to me that Skinner talked about this sort of thing recently...

They (Skinner et al) have no real control over the ads, I think...

If enough complaints are received, then I think he could ask that they be pulled...

I'm not sure, though...

You might want to communicate directly with Skinner...

3. Click on their ads! Multipe times! Bankrupt their campaigns!
They're paying to have adverts on DU (albeit via Google), and my guess is that DU would get revenue for click through. Though if there were too many clicks esp. from DU they'd probably claim click fraud...

Though, yes the ads can be blocked but only after they appear and Skinner et al is notified.

Mark.
